Bollywood can watch some real action in the latter half of 2009 as films like Luck and Blue are getting ready for release. These films will have some daredevil stunts that are sure to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats.

Luck is written and directed by Soham Shah with Imran Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Shruti Haasan, Mithun Chakraborty and Danny Denzongpa in the lead roles.

Bollywood is providing a mix of two separate genres of movies. Incidentally, the two might attract different class of the audience. Anyway, both are trying their luck at the box office while one of them is titled 'Luck'. The other one is 'Perfect Mismatch'. It seems that the television reality shows are entering into the big screen. The specialty of 'Luck' is that it doesn't focus on hero only but moves around several characters. The movie's director Soham Shah of the 'Kaal' fame first decided to cast Shruti, daughter of super star Kamal Hasan. She is starting her career with this movie opposite Imran Khan.

The movie begins with Mafia king pin Kareem Musa played by Sanjay Dutt challenging an eclectic group to perform stunts for his betting trade.

Mithun Chakravarthy playing Retired Major Jawar Pratap Singh needs money for his sick wife.

Acting-wise, Imran Khan performs excellently well. However, he needs to improve his expression. Shruti Hassan has tried her best as newcomer but needs time to mirror her character. She is stunningly charming but lacks in dialogue delivery.

In fact the luck of Luck will decide the luck of many. Director Soham Shah is trying for a comeback after the ill fated 'Kaal'. Hero of the film, Imran Khan is also badly in need of a hit after his 'Kidnap' bombed at the box office. Though his tough guy role in 'Kidnap' was appreciated, he needs to prove his action skills with a solid hit. For Shruti Haasan, daughter of legendary Kamal Haasan, this will be her first full length role in a film.

Luck is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. Action sequences of the film were choreographed by Allan Amin. Salim-Sulaiman has composed the music for the film.

This film stars Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj and Manoj Bajpai in the lead roles. It is jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Media Works. Allu Arjun plays a slum dweller and Manoj plays a rock star in this film. The film is being directed by KJrish of Gamyam fame.








With loads of success actress Anushka is now looking forward to variety in her roles. In an effort to deviate from the glamour roles, to more performance oriented roles, the actress is now doing the role of a sex-worker (prostitute) in her next film Vedam. The film is scheduled to hit screens by the end of this year.

Prabhas as Ek Niranjan with Kangana

Young rebalstar Prabhas will now be seen with Bollywood sizzler Kangana Ranaut in a Puri Jagannadh movie Ek Niranjan. The Prabhas-Puri Jagannadh duo is coming together after the huge success of Bujjigadu. Bollywood hot beauty Kangana Ranaut is making her debut in Tollywood with this film.


A major part of the movie will be shot in Switzerland and Bangkok. Apart from this, A huge set costing Rs 3 Cr was erected in 8 acres open space at road No. 25, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Aditya Ram is producing the film under Aditya Ram Movies banner.




Renowned choreographer Raju Sundaram has canned a very romantic number on the lead pair which is sure to be a success. Sonu Sood, Mukul Dev, Makarand Despande, Brahamanandam, Sunil,Venu Madhav and others form a part of the talented cast. Shyam K Naidu handles the camera while Manisharma scores the music. Editing is by MR Varma, art by Chinna, while story, screenplay, dialogues, direction and presention is by Puri Jagannadh.
